Benton City WA Real Estate, Benton City Area and Community
Benton City, WA, was founded by the Oregon Washington Railroad and Navigation Company in 1909. The town was placed at the junction of the Walla Walla and Yakima Railroad lines, and the OWR&N Co. built a railway station with freight and passenger depots in 1910. The town was officially incorporated in 1945, and Benton City real estate increased in popularity when water was brought to the area through an extension of the Sunnyside Canal. Benton City's official website includes more information about the history of the town and surrounding areas.
